I had a lot of fun decorating the dining room. I tried to maximize my budget by buying the table on craigslist and the chairs on ebay.  My table was your typical 80's oak dining room table. I sanded it and sprayed it black and the chairs were the natural bamboo color so I sprayed them. I'm so pleased with the result. Decorating can get really expensive so I try to purchase some of the bigger items off craigslist, ebay, yard sales or second-hand stores.
