DREAMS

Shirt and Earrings-Anthropologie, Jeans-Hudson, Purse-Marc Jacobs, Shoes-F21

First song that popped up on Pandora this morning was Dreams by the Cranberries and it's so fitting because I've been wanting to tell you about my horrible dream. Okay, so a little background first. My daughter Lauren loves her Daddy. Great, right? Well, she seems to love him quite a bit more than her Mommy. She gets so excited to see him. When she sees me, she's like, oh, hi Mom and then goes back to playing. Has this happened to any of you mothers? Please say yes, just to make me feel better. I'm not a stay at home Mom so I even feel worse that I don't get to spend more time with her but Andy's not a stay at home Dad either. Anyways, back to my dream. I dreamt that Lauren wouldn't even acknowledge my presence and wouldn't let me hold her anymore. Horrible right?

despite your awful dream :/ I love you outfit and the hair. I wish I could wear jeans to work.

This was EXACTLY my situation with Adalynn. And I WAS a stay at home mom and did everything for her! I really hate that term "daddy's girl" but maybe there's some truth to it. I've had similar dreams. But believe me, it all changes as they get older. I promise. She'll appreciate you more the older she gets. Just ask my Addy.

Love the outfit by the way. ;)

I love the outfit! As a very obvious "Daddy's girl" growing up, my mom is one of my best friends and I can assure you that she felt the same way you currently do. It all comes together in the end. And really, it was just a dream. Reality is much better. :)

It terrifies me that my baby won't recognize me or will love his sitter more than me. I'm pretty sure I'm worried about nothing and I'm just being silly... yeah, we'll go with that!

Super cute outfit and super cute blog! Thanks for the comment on my blog. You are so sweet!

Yeah, well. The story can't be concluded in a few short years. The thing about motherhood though is, that we have all the emotion connected with the children. Dad's aren't as much impacted by the children emotionally. So Mom's deal with a lot. We just hang in there with love. The dream is only a product of your own fears.

I find they go through phases. Sometimes I'm my son's favorite and sometimes his dad is...But I know what you mean, you wonder...for me the worst was when at one point he started calling his daycare educator mommy...that almost broke my heart, but he thankfully grew out of that phase too!
Love the yellow top!

i love that yellow - so fun!

your dream sounds sad - but i'm sure that's not really the case! i see that happening with my niece - daddy's almost a treat when he gets home (even though her mom works too!)
